Professor John Costello: Presentations

Professor John Costello, Dean of Science, Dublin City University, gave the following two presentations to the TY Science class.

TY Guest Speaker

We were delighted to welcome Professor John Costello, Dean of Science, Dublin City University, to Magh Ene College.  Professor Costello gave a presentation on 'Ultrafast, Ultrashort, Ultraintense - Extreme Physics with Lasers' to the TY students and carried out some demonstrations using liquid nitrogen as seen in the attached photos.

BT Young Scientist 2016

Well done to 5th year students Megan McGee and Rebecca Duffy and TY students Michael McGloin, Oisin McGloin and Rory Sweeney, who represented the school at the 2016 BT Young Scientist exhibition in the RDS.
